The Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Student Association (AMWSA) was set up in accordance with the instructions of beloved Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba) in 2007, AMWSA aims to help the spiritual training of our Lajna university students as well as provide guidance in their career choices. Our activities including holding various tabligh events with guest lectures speaking on various topics relating to Islam and particularly to women. Moreover, we hold an annual career’s event where our members provide guidance for younger sisters deciding about university. AMWSA also holds various social events visiting exhibitions and places of interest. The highlight of our existence thus far has been two special mulaqats with beloved Khalifatul Masih V (aba), in which four fortunate members were given the invaluable opportunity to present their research and all had the opportunity to partake in a question & answer session with beloved Huzur (aba).
Apart from holding events AMWSA regularly contacts its members via email to inform them regarding upcoming programmes. Moreover, AMWSA had begun the “AMWSA bite” emails which are sent to members with various religious excerpts for their spiritual development. Indeed, these have been fondly received by members.
Another crucial role of AMWSA is being a source of assistance for members with queries, whether they be about studies, organisational questions or indeed personal.
We hope and pray that AMWSA may continue to grow and prosper whilst fulfilling its objectives as set out by beloved Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (aba).
